The ‘Quest for the Precious’ begins November 1
We know the feeling. You stroll into your favorite Fort Collins liquor store, scanning the shelves for those elusive, limited-release bottles – the ones that vanish faster than a hobbit who just glimpsed second breakfast. The truth is, allocated whiskeys are tough to get. Distilleries only make so much, and distributors keep things tight. But we believe everyone deserves a fair shot at the treasure.
That’s why we created “The Quest for the Precious,” our holiday whiskey and spirits event that gives every customer an equal chance to purchase some of the most sought-after bottles in the realm. Think of it as a fair, friendly, Fort Collins–style quest. No orcs, no gatekeeping, just great spirits and good vibes.
How to join the quest
Here’s how your “Quest for the Precious” journey begins:
- Spend $100 in the store → earn 1 ticket for the event.
- Buy any Colorado whiskey → snag a bonus ticket.
- Trade 250 rewards points → get another ticket.
- Ask our team about bonus ways to earn; we’re always cooking up new “side quests.”
- Repeat as often as you wish until the winning tickets are chosen on December 4.
That’s it. No brain-frying riddles, no chilling dark towers. Just your everyday shopping unlocking an opportunity to get your most coveted unicorn whiskey.
The timeline of the quest
- November 1: The adventure begins! Start earning your entries.
- Thursday, December 4: We’ll pull names and notify the lucky winners.
- Tuesday, December 9: The Great Selection Event. At 3pm, we open the floodgates at Mulberry MAX. We’ll have all the bottles displayed on a grand table of glory. It’s first come, first served, and one bottle per winner, so get here as soon as you can, but come at your convenience.
- Saturday, December 13: The selection event ends at close of business. Remaining bottles, if there are any, will land on our Top Shelf for anyone who wants them.

We created this event to make the whiskey hunt fair and festive. Fort Collins and Northern Colorado have a thriving whiskey scene, from distilleries crafting magic in copper stills to collectors who know their single malt from their small batch.
